This toy won "Best Toy of 2000" from both Parent Magazine, Child magazine and "Best Vacation Toy 2000" from Dr.Toy. It was also awarded "Best Value Added Wood Product" at the uniquely B.C. 23rd Creative Arts Show from Forest Renewal B.C. It has just been awarded "Best Toy 2001" by Today's Parent Magazine, as announced in McLeans Magazine.
The set contains 41 wooden marbles of each colour (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple) and 16 black wooden blocks. Both sides of each block are embossed with 25 dimples. One side has regular dimples (5x5); the other has alternating rows of 3 and 4 dimples. By stacking the blocks and marbles in different combinations, castles, towers, or colourful mosaics can be made. The ink used to colour the marbles and blocks is non-toxic and child safe.
Note: this item is the same as Wooden Blocks and Marbles (with wooden storage box) except that it comes in a sturdy cardboard storage box.
